Humans have always told stories to teach and inspire, but it's rarely, if ever discussed, as a tool for the classroom today. For me, at their core, teachers are storytellers!

The Storytelling Teacher approach puts narrative at the heart of lesson design and delivery, embedding storytelling ideas and structures to engage learners in any subject, at any age. By using the fundamental elements of a great story—characters, setting, plot, and conflict—you can make learning more engaging, more memorable, and more meaningful for learners.

On a Storytelling Journey

For me, this is the start of an exciting adventure to share this approach with others. In-person workshops have had some fantastic feedback and I'm excited to build on this further. So, to get people started, I've created a series of six videos that provide a basic insight into the benefits of the storytelling-teacher approach and how a 5-part story-structure can help design a great session.
